THE MOMENT YOU KNOW
If you've ever promoted a church event, you probably recognize this moment:
You open your laptop to promote an upcoming event and realize something important.
There isn't really a plan.
You start asking yourself:
- When should we start talking about this?
- Where should we post it?
- How many reminders are too many?
- What should we actually say?
So the promotion happens quickly.
- A bulletin announcement.
- A slide on Sunday morning.
- One social media post.
Then everyone hopes people show up.
And after everyone leaves, you stand in the back of the room and count the empty chairs.
You showed up to every planning meeting. You wrote every word of that bulletin announcement. You stayed late on a Thursday to get the social post just right.
You did everything you knew how to do.
The rhythm just wasn't there yet. That's the part nobody taught you.
"I'm a volunteer. I'm not a marketing person. I just love my church and somehow ended up running the social media. Event Ease made me feel like I knew what I was doing for the first time ever 🥲" — Church volunteer
THE DIFFERENCE A PLAN MAKES
Your next event. Two ways it could go.
| WITHOUT A SYSTEM | WITH EVENT EASE | |
|---|---|---|
| Scrambling to write a bulletin announcement two days before the event | → | A clear promotion rhythm that starts weeks before the event |
| A single social post that gets lost in the feed | → | Consistent messaging across every channel you use |
| No clear message about why people should come | → | Copy that builds genuine excitement and gets people eager to attend |
| A room that fills slower than it should | → | A room full of energy from people who couldn't wait to be there |
| Starting from scratch all over again for the next one | → | A system you can reach for every single time |
"We are a small church with no comms staff and Event Ease was honestly the first thing that didn't make me feel like we were doing it wrong. It assumes you're busy. It assumes you're not a professional. It just helps." — Small church staff
PICTURE THIS
When promotion has a rhythm, events come alive.
It's Saturday morning, the day of your event.
You're drinking coffee. You're not refreshing the RSVP list. You're not writing one last desperate social post. You're not running the math on whether anyone will actually come.
You already know the room is going to fill. You built it that way, one clear moment at a time, starting six weeks ago.
When the doors open, the energy walks in with the people. They've been hearing about this. Talking about it. Looking forward to it. They're showing up because they couldn't wait to be here.
You stand in the back of the room. And for the first time in a long time, you can just be here. Present. Watching the thing you built come alive.
A room full of energy from people who couldn't wait to be there.
THE SECRET SAUCE
A complete communication strategy, built for how church events actually work.
What if promoting your next event didn't mean posting the same flyer four times and hoping? What if people showed up genuinely excited, because they'd been hearing the story long before the doors ever opened?
Here's what I learned after years of making the bulletin and writing the social post five minutes before service started:
not invitation.
And most of us have been using it the other way around. The same poster, posted again and again. Every message an ask… give, show up, attend… sent to people who haven't really met us yet. We end up requesting commitment from strangers before we've ever introduced ourselves.
Once I saw that, I couldn't unsee it. So I built Event Ease around fixing it.
THE SIGNATURE MOVE
Build Energy: the phase almost every church skips.
The six-phase Rhythm promotes your event the way you'd actually tell a story over time. Most churches go invite, remind, hope. Build Energy is the whole stretch in the middle whose only job is anticipation… the people, the place, the purpose, the little behind-the-scenes moments that let someone get to know your event before they're ever asked to come. By the time the real invitation lands, it lands on people who already want to be in the room.
That's the part you won't find in a generic timeline or a template pulled from anywhere online. It's built on what I learned from inside real congregations, the kind of thing that only comes from years in the pews.
More of your community showing up. You gave them something to look forward to.

YOU MIGHT BE THINKING...
Let's talk it through.
These are the questions we hear most often.
ABOUT THE CREATOR
So why am I the one to help you fill your next event?
Hi, I'm Leslie.
For more than 20 years I've worked inside churches. Organist, worship leader, and yes, the person making the bulletin and writing the social post five minutes before the prelude started. I've sat in every seat you're sitting in. I've also got graduate-level marketing training from Harvard Business School Online, plus degrees from Yale and the Cleveland Institute of Music. So I come at this from both sides of the aisle (or altar, if you will): the practitioner who's lived it, and the strategist who understands why it works.
For a long time I promoted events the way most of us do. Heart first, plan later, maybe. It took me years to put my finger on what was actually missing, and it was never effort. It was structure. Events are stories told over time, and we were only ever telling them the day before.
Mainline and traditional churches have been left behind on this. Not because we don't work hard, but because nobody ever handed us a marketing budget or a playbook built for how we actually do things. So we keep wondering why the same faces fill the same events, while the new people we'd love to reach never quite make it through the door. That's why I created Event Ease: the system I built from the inside out, for churches like ours.
I believe your church already has everything it needs to fill a room. The people, the place, the purpose. What's been missing is a clear way to introduce all of that to the people you're hoping to reach, with enough time for them to get genuinely excited.
I'd love to help you get there. Rooms full of people who couldn't wait to be there, where the energy started long before the doors opened. That's exactly what Event Ease is here to help you do.
